Public bug reported:

When I try to enter proper device name in Grub Editor in System Settings
when tryine to restore GRUB it prevents me from entering my dmraid
mapper device. It appears in suggestions but I'm unable to enter it, it
seems there is a filter of some kind which allows only names such as
/dev/hda(b,c...) and /dev/sda(b,c...). I'm prevented from entering 'm'
after '/dev/'.

This is really strange behaviour - it tries to be too smart and ends up
being stupid :)

I'm using kubuntu Jaunty with latest upgrades.

(Path to component is System Settings -> Grub Editor -> Tools ->
Install/Restore GRUB)
