Hi Rolf! This particular condition disappeared after an update, _not_ a {safe|full}-upgrade, so the aptitude version didn't change between the two states. This suggests it was some dependency resolving bug. I can't check if it still exists because I don't know how to return to that particular state. (I didn't think to remember the exact versions of the involved packages, and I did lots of upgrades since then, including removing Amarok altogether.)
I don't think anyone has the time to try tracking down that exact state (based on the bug's date and the updates proposed, it _might_ be possible, but very hard), so we should probably mark this as invalid. (It can be reopened if it happens again.) It might be a good idea to write a tiny wiki page with the steps you requested, and any other info that might be helpful for debugging aptitude and apt-get issues. -- [jaunty] aptitude tries to upgrade held package https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/326350 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
