I tested this with the two following versions, and can confirm having this issue with both: openoffice.org 1:2.4.1-11ubuntu2.1 on linux 2.6.27-11-generic with xorg 1:7.4~5ubuntu3 openoffice.org 1:3.0.1-1ubuntu1~intrepid1 on linux 2.6.27-11-generic with xorg 1:7.4~5ubuntu3
I was not able to reproduce this on linux 2.6.27-7-generic (8.10 livecd) This was also reported by users in the the Fedora/RedHat community: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=469572#c39 http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=213122 I'm guessing this is an X bug or a Kernel bug for handling this particular hardware (Belkin KVM) on which there is a usb mouse and keyboard attached.
