Now I can appreciate some lag between an upstream release and inclusion in Ubuntu, but #110814 was fixed in 1.3-SVN by commit 451292 in August 2005. Since everyone here experiences this bug in 1.4, either this is a regression, or it was never really fixed, or it was fixed only on the 1.3 branch. Either way, I have not found a newer upstream bug report that deals with this issue.
