While I agree that it would be better, do you think that it is feasible at this point in the development cycle? The biggest issue is the gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad Recommends for -ugly which pulls in a lot of other stuff. My quick count show 15 packages besides -ugly that would need MIRs. I've never done a MIR before, but I would be willing to do some of them if others wanted to work on this in a coordinated manner. Although, my main goal right now is to see elisa updated in jaunty as soon as possible.
