Hi, Hmm well it's not failing for me in that way - but I have 0.2.26ubuntu1.1 (and python 2.5.2-1ubuntu1) But I'm also on intrepid - how come mine is a newer version?
Also which locale are you using - I'm on en_US.UTF-8 - env | grep LANG should tell you.
