I honestly thought that since "Experience ubuntu.ogg" and "ubuntu Sax.ogg" were removed from the 8.10 final release and replaced with the folder "Ubuntu_Free_Culture_Showcase" containing "patas_de_trapo.oga" and "StopMotionUbuntu.ogv" that whoever accomplished this believed the problem was with obsolete file types rather than the live-cd. I therefore believed (erroneously it turns out) that they would mark the bug as "solved"; again I was mistaken.
Since I only have one CD drive, I can't attempt to play the files from the 8.10 beta CD from the final 8.10 live-cd. As you are no doubt aware, these "Example" files are not installed to the Desktop during a hard- drive installation. My concern was that someone who tried the live-cd and found the media files unplayable would think "If they can't make their own examples work on my system, why should I install the OS to find out if it works?" "patas_de_trapo.oga", "StopMotionUbuntu.ogv" and "fables_01_01_aesop.spx" on 8.10 final work well. Please mark this as solved for 8.10 final. -- Intrepid beta (live-cd) does not play media files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/279919 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
