** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: hugin

  Hi,

As stated in Bug #301352, and duplicates (Bug #310733, and Bug #327027),
and also in Bug #162575 (and duplicate Bug #289536), the executable name
of autopano in Hugin default config is not correct, making the
  application unusable.
+
+ Fix applied in Jaunty:
+ Write a patch to use the right autopano executable name by default (patch
52_ubuntu_autopano-sift). This is because the Mono application autopano-sift
does not exists in Debian.
+
+ Patch to apply:
+ See debdiff
+
+ TEST CASE:
+ - Install Hugin with apt-get install hugin
+ - run it from menu, and choose the 2 picture I put in this bug report (Load
images)
+ - Click on the Align button
+ - it fails with "command: autopano-sift --maxmatches 20 /tmp/ap_resBMu46W
"/home/fabrice/temp/miniDSC00101.JPG" "/home/fabrice/temp/miniDSC00102.JPG"
failed with error code: 255"
+
+ When fixed, it should autodetect matching points automatically.
+
+ When uninstalling Hugin, don't forget to delete .hugin directory in your
+ home

+ - As this affect default parameters, it won't affect existing users that
already fixed the bad default executable command (that's why you have to delete
.hugin directory to reproduce the problem)
+ - In case of wrong new default parameters, it will still be possible to
update the parameters manually.
