  I am having the exact same problem as in this bug:

  Since the other first one is marked closed I am reopening this one. The 
touchpad is still not recognized by X.org :

- I am running Intrepid, all updates and upgrades done, kernel 
2.6.27-11-generic  (2.6.27-11.27)

  The touchpad is terribly slow, and I can't adjust the sensitivity since it's 
not recognized.
  Also, the horizontal and vertical scrolling are not working. 
  
  Please fix it.
