The patch that was introduced in 1:6.9.0+git20081003.f9826a56-0ubuntu2.1 is no longer being carried in Jaunty. Or, rather, we've dropped it in favor of upstream's changes.
There's an off chance that this bug still exists in Jaunty, so we'll need you to re-test on Jaunty when you get a chance. ISO images are available from http://cdimages.ubuntu.com/releases/jaunty/.
