*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 24388 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/24388
>From what I can tell, 24388 is not the same issue as this bug. Further it is now closed whereas this bug still affects Ubuntu 8.10. The above description is mostly correct, but the problem is as simple as: kana filenames are not properly sorted. They clearly sort according to something consistent because the same names always sort the same way, but so far I can't figure out what logic is behind it. Often, even files that start with the same character will be separated by many different files starting with many different characters. The problem is not limited to directories that have Roman filenames, or filenames with mixed names. -- Incomprehensible sorting in Nautilus and ls when kana (hiragana, katakana) and latin are mixed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/59617 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
