I like this as well. I will try to get in touch with upstream and
discuss this with them. I do also believe that it should be user
friendly to report bugs and I think it should be done like this:
Ubuntu packages -> report to launchpad
Debian packages -> Debian BTS
Build from source -> Upstream Bugtracker
