I don't think it's justified to close this bug. I have given a detailed
description to reproduce this bug, and have tried to reproduce this bug
in jaunty. As I have already stated, it is not possible to test it in
jaunty, as there is a *different* bug in jaunty stopping me from doing
it.

I do know how to install missing codecs and I have successfully done it
on different systems. The bug is that the installer falls into an
infinite loop.

If you have a running jaunty system, it will take max. 3 minutes to
reproduce it (if the bug exists there). I don't want to upgrade my
running system to an alpha stage release, just to run into the same
problem I had on the live CD.
