I have discovered that the evil that has been freezing my system isn't
vmware nor avahi itself.... rather it the bonjour in Pidgin who's the
culprit!

Everytime Pidgin starts... and my laptop establishes the connection with
the bonjour plugin of Pidgin on, the kernel freeze occur.
