I had this same problem with my Asus Nvidia 7600 GS

I didn't had this problem immediately, but after some tweaking to get
Beryl running.

I tried different Nvidia drivers and configuration settings to get rid
of it, but nothing helped. I shutdown my system several times, but
without effect. Finally restarted into Windows and to my surprise the
colour mixup was now also showing up in windows. Chaning to 16bit seemd
to solve the problem, but chaning back to 32bit immediately showed the
wrong colours again.

Finally I tried to install a different monitor-driver in windows, but
just before I did this I turned of my monitor. Turned it back on
again... AND my problem was fixed... Not only in Windows, also in Linux
(Kubuntu 6.10 Edgy).

I have a Sony SDM HX73 monitor Digitally connected.
And at the moment using the nvidia Nvidia 1.0-9629 for Linux.
