I dont' really know what you mean. But a few days ago, I daectivated the "Visuelle Effekte"(I've got a German version, must be something similar) in "System->Erscheinungsbild"(Something like "Appearance") and now there is no more flickering. It's a pitty but unlikely I don't know another way to solve the problem.
