I use an old laptop (Pentium 3 with 196MB RAM). Dell Inspiron 4000. kernel is 2.6.24-23-generic #1 SMP Mon Jan 26 00:13:11 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux. Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121621 Ubuntu/8.04 (hardy) Firefox/3.0.5
I experience the same problem as Ralph Janke reported. When i try to move a folder in the Bookmarks menu by clicking it, holding it and dragging it, the whole desktop freezes. I can not close the program, start another program or shutdown the laptop. The mouse pointer turns to different one (a plus sign or something) and can be moved. The only thing that works is Ctrl+Alt+F1/F7/F8. I go to shell by Ctrl+Alt+F1, login, kill firefox process, log out and come back by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F8. Then I restart the Firefox to continue working. I experienced it a few times. -- can't drag bookmark folders from menu to toolbar https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/198212 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
