Hello!
To me my bug is a little different from mentioned above. That problem was mouse 
tilt wheel is not working properly, while mine bug is that tilt function of 
wheel is not detected.
Also I have some more information concerning my bug:
1) If you turn off PC, then turn on and boot in ubuntu - tilt wheel is not 
producing XEV events.
2) then if you unplug receiver from USB port and plug it back - tilt will wheel 
work, it will produce XEV events and everything is ok.
3) if you reboot - tilt wheel will not work again.
That's very strange, probably something wrong in USB initialization.

** Description changed:

  Ubuntu 8.10 32-bit.
  Logitech UltraX Media Desktop mouse partially working. Scrolling works ok, 
tilting wheel is not working and tilting wheel is not producing events in xev.
