I downloaded and tested Kubuntu 8.10 and it has the same issue. It
doesn't only happen with big files. It seems to happen on a normal
network operations, like downloading updates, files from Internet and so
on.

I downloaded and tested Kubuntu 8.04 with all updates and I can not
reproduce it. So it seems that something got broken in between 8.04 and
8.10.

It makes 8.10 version useless for me, since wireless networking gets
down to about 150KB/s. When this happens all networking gets very slow.
Can't play movies over LAN, updating Amarok library based on LAN takes
more than all night etc.

Hope this will get fixed soon, since I'd like to switch to KDE 4.2,
which is unavailable for hardy and my laptop extra keys (e.g. volume
keys) don't work in 8.04 etc. :-(

Cheers,
Marek
