Well, since "years ago" things could change a bit if needed... However I'm not asking for a fix, but I'm asking for an option to be added in the preferences panel. I'd have rated this bug as "whishlist" if I could.
Anyway, I personally know at least two people except me who do not expect this behavior, but they would expect a normal alphabetical sorting...
