I did now. I had copied the settings from Gaim (incorrectly) so it wasn't set right. But there was no UI feedback except in the debug output. (I don't need to tell you that that's bad.) Gaim's on 5222, so I tried both. With 5223, I immediately get 'Connection refused'.
