Public bug reported: I just installed the 2.1-1 deb to fix another bug (298628) and noticed a regression. Folders with periods in their names are not handled correctly.
I'm running ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid. If I browse to one of my folders under sftp:// with nautilus, I see the following folder names: notes.2008-06-11.search notes.2009-01-20.minResults presentation.2008-05-07 report.2009-01-21.share However, if I mount the same folder with sshfs, I see these folders instead: notes 2008-06-11 notes 2009-01-20 presentation 2008-05-07 report 2009-01-21 Note that the first period has been replaced with a space and the second period and its trailing content has been omitted entirely. For these folders, it's not a huge problem as they are still accessible, but the problem gets worse in my second example. I have another folder with two subfolders: figures figures.src Under sshfs, the figures.src folder is not shown and therefore completely unaccessible. It works correctly with sftp:// however. This is a regression because these folders were handled incorrectly in the previous version of sshfs (Inrepid's 2.0-2 deb). If you'd like to see any more diagnostic information, let me know.
