Same problem with HP Pavilion tx2000 and the Ubuntu-provided Broadcom STA wireless driver. Reconnect after suspend worked fine in Hardy, but has always taken a long time under 8.10. Sometimes wireless is completely disabled after suspend. Seems to be NM problem, since wicd reconnects in just a few seconds with same drivers and hardware.
