Hi alexserver: I have the exact problem with my dvd because I have the same laptop than you (Compaq Presario V3417LA). Maybe you speak spanish and I would like to know how did you fix it. If you can put here the exact steps (and if you speak spanish you could put it in spanish), I will thank you a lot.
