The current Thunderbird version is '2.0.0.19+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.10.1'. Are you able to reproduce this on that version? If so, can you reproduce this reliably? What steps do you take to reproduce this? Also, some previously asked questions that would be helpful to have answered: Is the problem that the dialogue box that should tell you to add a subject is blank, or is the email blank and the attachments were removed? Did you attempt to send anyway, and if so did the recipient receive the attachments/email body? Please test if you have not already. Can you please list any addons/themes you have installed? What type of account is this? IMAP or POP3? If you are able to test with both types, does this happen with both IMAP and POP3 or just one of them?
