I have the Realtek RTL8187b wireless card also, and the signal is just too weak to have any kind of connection. The driver really needs a good looking at, This card has always been problematic, it used to work, but the signal would just suddenly drop, now the signal is too weak. Ive not had this working on a fully up to date intrepid. :(
