It takes about 5 seconds for the wireless network to disconnect after activating the wireless kill switch (4 sec. for bluetooth to disable.) If the system is booted with the kill switch enabled, wireless networking is never activated. However, there are other issues with Jaunty. Once I activate the wireless kill switch (or boot with it enabled), I cannot re-enable wireless networking. Disabling the kill switch has no effect. Trying to do: sudo iwlist wlan0 scan after disabling the kill switch results in: wlan0 Interface doesn't support scanning : Network is down Bluetooth seems to respond to the kill switch correctly. -- wireless switch no longer disables WiFi https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/288886 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
