I am sorry, I became too busy to figure out where to report it and actually ended up switching to an IDE to program due to this and a number of other frustrating bugs with GEdit. I love its simplicity and speed, but there were many issues. Then again, I wasn't using the latest release as I was using the version in the Ubuntu universe.
