@Martin In Intrepid Ibex, this has still not been addressed.
The radio buttons are still fully active, waiting for a user to click on them, despite not being supported on my hardware. After clicking on "Normal" or "Extra", I am greeted with a 5 second delay with a dialog saying it is searching for whether the composite extension is installed. When it doesn't find, it bombs out with the same error dialog: "The Composite extension is not available".
