Hang on a minute! My system is crashing, it's still a bug. Just because
reinstalling it fixes the problem doesn't mean it's not a problem! On my
system, I *don't* get a warning about "JRE-REQUIRE" -- and in fact I do
have "sun-java6-jre" installed. There is something wrong with the JRE
detection algorithm, I would guess.

As I haven't done anything particularly unusual here, I can imagine you
will see this problem in the future when all the Hardy users upgrade to
the next LTS release.

If I want to have Sun Java installed (I need it for another application)
then it shouldn't break OOo.
