Public bug reported: I recently did a fresh install of Jaunty from the alternate AMD64 CD. I booted up and found I couldn't update, etc. I tried to run "su" to log in as root and couldn't figure out the password. So, I rebooted into recovery mode and added myself to the sudoers file. Then, all was fine and dandy.
