Public bug reported: I recently installed the latest alpha of jaunty. Everything seems to work fine except for the wireless card and rfkillswitch. This is a regression with respect to 8.10. As I own an Asus eeepc 701 4G I used to have a script sending 1 or 0 to /sys/devices/platform/eeepc/wlan to respectively turn my wireless card on or off. In jaunty this interface doesn't exist.
Is there any other interface that replaces it? Using the same script but for /sys/devices/LNXSYSTM:00/device:00/ASUS010\:00/rfkill/rfkill0/state brings the card down but it is useless on up. Only a reboot brings the card up again. > uname -a Linux neo 2.6.28-5-generic #15-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jan 22 21:21:04 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux >lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu jaunty (development branch) Release: 9.04 This happens using both the ath5k driver (which works otherwise fine for me) and the ath_hal driver (never managed to make it work). ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [jaunty] missing wlan entry under /sys https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/321289 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
