GRUB device names aren't like Linux device names, and (sd0) isn't a valid GRUB device name; given that you've set SATA as the first drive in the BIOS, you probably actually did want (hd0). (However, /boot/grub/device.map may be in the wrong order, so go carefully; newer versions will probably be a bit more reliable here.) We now validate the GRUB device (bug 62479, so I'll mark this as a duplicate of that), and nowadays the entry box is a drop-down instead. I would really recommend you not install 6.10 nowadays, anyway.
