@John , Well as i said before :
Putting the right value - in my case - xinput set-int-prop 4 Synaptics Tap Action(303) 8 2 3 0 0 1 0 0 enables the tap-to-click. Then I succeeded by typing "xinput set-int-prop 4 Synaptics Edge Scrolling (291) 8 1 1 1 to enable my edge scrolling. But these changes come back to their initial value as soon as I reboot my pc. What can I do to fix this ? Then I went and saw that line in synaptics.c who put the value at TRUE if double-tap isn't detected... so i changed it to "TRUE" directly as does the patch that has been provided here... my question is...then what ?? What I have to do to compile this so as to install it with apt-get ? If it may help, i provide my xinput output. ** Attachment added: "xinput_Syn.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/21604022/xinput_Syn.txt -- tap-to-click and edge-scrolling broken in Jaunty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/320632 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
