Hummmm... no, not a repeat of bug 66637. For the Vaio, the fix from bug 66637 works fine and the Vaio works and hibernates fine (but there is an issue with graphics at boot time and in a transparent panel -- new problem in Edgy).
For the AJP 3000M the fix solves the problem with swap, that now works fine (I hadn't noticed I didn't have any swap!) So the fix of bug 66637 has had some benefit. However, now when I hibernate, it powers off fine, but wehn I reboot, the hibernate fails to start. So there is a problem here that is effectively new. When I force a power off of the hung AJP and reboot then it does reboot so there is no damage to the swap area. It must be that the saved image just cannot be reloaded properly. I don't know how to preogress this problem now. The fdisk problem was me being braindead, I forgot the sudo :-( I guess the issue for Efgy install is only why is RESUME= written in the /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume file. -- Cannot hibernate after Dapper -> Edgy upgrade https://launchpad.net/bugs/70903 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
