I have the same issue on intrepid . thunderbird-gnome-support is installed as well, which is supposed to allow save/attach from network shares using vfs, correct?
Thunderbird version is 2.0.0.19 (20090105) Intrepid i386. Would love to get this fixed, as I have been reduced to creating a folder called ~/email_shelf as a place to put files that are going to/from network drives and thunderbird.
