** Description changed: I reported Bug #306980 , in which I described that totem sometimes quits immediately when I try to open a video. So far I have not found any way to reproduce the error for sure, it just works (and sometimes does not). Same goes for Google-Earth, sometimes I can use it normally and sometimes it seems to refresh a frame every two seconds, which makes GE hardly usable. I'm running Intrepid 64bit, daily upgrades. I had trouble once with the nvidia-driver because I installed the driver from the nvidia-hp, but eversince I did a re-install over my existing installation I could install the restricted driver v177, as proposed and guided by ubuntu itself. I attached my Xorg.0.log, but I doubt it's of great help. + [lspci] + 00:00.0 Memory controller [0580]: nVidia Corporation CK804 Memory Controller [10de:005e] (rev a3) + Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
