I can understand the reasoning behind the decision to blacklist emdebian
tools from Ubuntu, but it has unfortunate consequences for some people
trying to use Ubuntu for embedded ARM development.

In particular, the Texas Instruments Davinci platform, which uses the ARM core,
has a couple tools that have been specifically tested (and patches written) to
work under Ubuntu 8.04:

Many of these same Davinci developers would need to use emdebian to
compile binaries, but the decision above now means they must use Debian
in addition to Ubuntu, making firmware development more difficult.
