I am experiencing the same issue. My home wireless network is D-Link router 802.11G. My ubuntu Laptop is a Lennovo R61i ThinkPad. The wireless driver is iwl3945. I have successfully used this laptop on open wireless networks and WPA secure networks at a local coffee house with no issues. However when I try to employ WEP 128-bit passphrase the setting flips to 40/128 bit key with my passphrase modified to a hex value.
I too have an Apple Powerbook I have ran on this wireless network for well over a year using the WEP 128-bit passphrase encryption scheme with no issues. -- intrepid: iwl3945 won't connect with WEP passphrase https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293424 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
