Since you are the original bug reporter, would you be willing to test
the latest pre-release of Jaunty (currently Alpha3) -
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/jaunty/ . You should be able to test
suspend via a LiveCD. Please let us know if this issue remains.
