I get the same on my NVidia board and dmraid setup.  Fortunately, when I
performed the upgrade to 9.04, I didn't let it tidy up old packages, so
I boot the Intrepid kernel.

When I do that, it doesn't initially setup the array, so I have to do
"dmraid -ay" to get that done, then it will boot, albeit on an older
kernel.
