I'm willing to cooperate, especially as this is an issue introduced by "intrepid" and it's a severe one at that - but I'm at a loss as what to do now. I can't possibly launch my X server in debug mode for an error that occurs once per week, can I? FYI, this time, "firefox" was not running, unless it didn't fully quit and was lurking around in the process table somewhere.
