** Description changed: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-mouse I have had this happen 3 times now on Intrepid: Once under Gnome and twice more under Fluxbox. Problem never occurred under KDE4. (also occurs under XFCE) After being AFK for a long period of time (or not, as described in comments below) the USB optical mouse is dead (no light) and does not come back to life without a reboot. The keyboard still works, however I cannot ctrl-alt-F* into a different session (as I am able to do when the mouse is working). The only solution is a system reboot. - I found what seems to be the same (or related) bug in Bug #34066. I have - just implemented the workaround discussed there. (workaround did not - work) + I found what seems to be the same (or related) bug in Bug #34066. I have just implemented the workaround discussed there.
