I'm the lead developer and maintainer of this app. It will be out of beta before Jaunty is released. I'd thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to request packaging _now_ instead of some time later... I don't really know the Ubuntu schedule regarding package freeze, alphas, betas and so on.
