Public bug reported: I just installed Ubuntu 8.10 a few days ago, and the sound has never worked. I tried doing everything in https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshooting , but it didn't help. My sound works in Windows, but it doesn't in Ubuntu at all.
