I have not seen this bug in the new version of Intrepid (8.10). The Network Manager 0.7 (NM 0.7) was ported to Hardy to update the old one that didn't work well and I think it was a bad update I downloaded. NM 0.7 is working like a charm in Intrepid. I think this can be closed, and the cause was a bad update (or it could have been something in my system) to the ported version so NM 0.7 could be ran on Hardy (8.04).
