The unlock button is disabled. I should have mentioned that. I did do 
what you requested but this time it did not prompt me for a password, 
yet the unlock button is still disabled.

I tried '$ sudo users-admin' and received this message:
 ** (users-admin:25437): CRITICAL **: Unable to lookup session 
information for process '25437'
