** Description changed: After running a system update, the updated services are automatically activated, even if they were deactivated before the update. netstat after recent update: localhost:ipp (...) LISTENING This was deactivated before the update, and in the services menu it still says it is. I had to reactivate and disable it to stop it (Printer service - cupsys). I remember the same thing happened before, I think with the avahi-daemon. I don't know if services are supposed to be reactivated after an update, but it certainly causes the services menu to show it wrong. + + update: I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 by the way.
