Oh, I didn't know that this was reported already, just got referred here by a duplicate. Regarding the name: is this still about the gnome volume applet or about the gnome panel? The title is confusing (non-native speakers like me could wonder what "dangle" means :)), maybe we should clear up what the bug is really about because there is 2 things:
1) some people might want the volume applet to autohide but not the calendar 2) some people are more concerned about the situation when the panel autohides Could we clear this up?
