confirmed and let them handle it from here.
I am able to confirm that there is no entry created for gsynaptics in
Xubuntu 8.10. There is an entry made in /usr/share/app-
install/desktop/gsynaptics.desktop , labeled Touchpad. It does have
Categories=GNOME;Applications;Settings;
OnlyShowIn=GNOME;
which would prevent it showing up in Xubuntu's menus?
